Silver Bird Taxi implementing e-transaction
July, 13 August, 2008, PT Bank Mandiri Tbk and Blue Bird Group was agree to implementing electronic transaction (e-transaction) payment system by Electronic Data Capture (EDC) machine for Silver Bird Taxi.
Director of PT Bank Mandiri Tbk., Agus Martowardojo said that by this agreement, Mandiri credit card holder’s will be easier when doing the transaction with Silver Bird Taxi and it is also part of additional service for theirs consument.
For the first step, only 30 units of Mercedes Benz Silver Bird who owned by Blue Bird Group will implementing this e-transaction payment system and it will be continue to the next 300 units of Silver Bird taxi and 16,000 units of Blue Bird taxi.
Now, amount of Mandiri credit card holder’s was 1,2 million and Mandiri Debit Card holder’s was 9 million.
Until the end of July 2008, PT Bank Mandiri Tbk was booked e-transaction by 26,000 EDC machines. Amount of transactions was 1,6 million and reaching Rp. 1.06 trillion (www.mediaindonesia.com).
