Finance Minister of Uni Emirat Arab (UEA), Obaid Humaid Al Tayer has comitt to supporting Indonesia for invite some investor from Middle East Region, especially in UEA. The investment can be release by direct investment or syariah bond (sukuk) investment.

This statement was declared by Obaid to Finance Minister of Indonesia, Sri Mulyani Indrawati at ASEAN Finance Minister’s meeting in Dubai (08/10/10). Beside speaking with Obaid, Sri Mulyani also do some personal meeting with Dubai’s investor for banking sector and talk about the potensial sukuk market in Indonesia.

Association South East of Asian Nation (ASEAN) which 10 countries as a member and around 570 million peoples inside has been promoting some investment opportunities in ASEAN region which collective PDB and total transaction was reached around 1 million dollar AS. It is also the first time roadshow for ASEAN in Dubai.

The fifth’s ASEAN Finance Ministers Investor Seminar (AFMIS) was attended by some finance ministers, government officers, hundred businessmans, CEO of investment bankings, fund managers and other multilateral financial institusional.
