US$ 258.3 million for Astro’s compensation
Astro demands US$ 258.3 million (Rp. 2.46 trillion) as a compensation from Lippo’s subsidiary PT Direct Vision in a joint pay-TV operation in Indonesia.
PT Direct Vision (DV) was failed to complete the joint venture agreement with Astro, the company should be paid some compensation to Astro for theirs support and services had provided to DV.
According to recent Malaysian media reports, the breakup of Astro’s joint venture is the latest in a series of business rows between Lippo Group (James Riady) and the Malaysian business group who controlled by the high-profile tycoon (Ananda Krishnan).
Previously, they were engaged in a property business in Singapore and also in a mobile telecommunications business at Indonesia.
