Chairman of Soros Fund Management, LLC sekaligus founder of the Open Society Institute, George Soros, dan dua hedge fund lainnya yang berbasis di Amerika Serikat (AS), yaitu Citadel Investment Group, LLC dan T. Rowe Price Group Inc., diduga merupakan salah satu penyebab menguatnya harga saham PT Bumi Resources Tbk (BUMI) di Bursa Efek Indonesia (BEI).

Saat ini mereka diduga sedang mengumpulkan saham-saham produsen batubara didunia, termasuk salah satunya adalah saham BUMI, milik group Bakrie ini.

KONDISI bursa global sepanjang tahun 2008 ini merupakan kondisi yang terburuk, dimana hampir semua bursa global dan regional mengalami koreksi yang cukup dalam, bahkan hingga mengalami titik psikologis terendah sepanjang sejarah perdagangan bursa.

Sebagaimana dilansir oleh Media Indonesia Online, bahwa sejak awal tahun 2008 hingga 25 November 2008 kemarin, peringkat terburuk pertama diraih oleh indeks Shanghai yang turun 64,1%, dan peringkat kedua diduduki oleh indeks Shenzen yang turun hingga 63,26%.

SETELAH mengalami koreksi yang cukup dalam beberapa pekan terakhir ini terkait dengan krisis keuangan global, saham PT Bumi Resources Tbk (BUMI) akhirnya kembali mengalami rebound cukup signifikan hingga 19,72% yang juga membawa saham tersebut berada dalam batas atas penghentian perdagangan otomatis (auto rejection).

Sejak dibuka pada perdagangan Selasa (25/11/08) pukul 09.30 lusa lalu, waktu Jakarta Automated Trading System (JATS), saham BUMI langsung melesat naik sebesar Rp. 120 (15,49%) hingga berada pada level Rp. 820, dan terkena auto rejection ketika menyentuh level Rp. 850.

Until the end of 2009 year’s, Sriwijaya Air was planned to increase their aircrafts till 10 units of boeing type.

Beside overseas flight route service, they also will be flight to another route of East of Indonesian.

These boeings type are consists of 737-300, 737-400 and 737-700 series and they will be flight for new routes to Bangkok, Singapore and Madras.

MANAGING Director of PT General Motor Auto World Indonesia (GMAWI), Mukiat Sutikno said that the inquiry of Chevrolet car’s in Indonesia still safe and available for Indonesia market.

As we know that the General Motor Corporation in Thailand (GM-Thailand) as the supplier for Indonesia market will be stop their production for temporary related by the global crisis at the moment. The production will be stop begin at the middle of December 2009 till the middle of January 2009.

Construction sector was begun difficulty to realize their construction projects at now. As we know that there are so many construction projects has been develop in here, but the financial crisis has making out the banks stop their credit facility for construction projects.

It’s mean that so many construction projects also will be stopping in the next year (2009). The banks should not be stop their credit facility to the construction projects, caused it also will bringing the negative influence for our economic condition for entirely.

Foreign contractors who will be enter to our market for the next of 2010, maybe will pending their expansion, it caused by the global financial crisis at now. Actually, it means that our domestic contractor more have some opportunities to get the foreign contractors market in here.

Project value for construction market has plan around Rp. 150 triliun in Indonesia, there are consist of government and private sectors. If our domestic contractors can get about Rp. 100 trilliun of contract value, it will bring some influence to open the next market opportunities.

Communities of Indonesian Export Company ask the government to stabilize the IDR-currency at level Rp. 9.500 per US dollar. As we know that the depreciation of IDR-currency to US dollars will be influence the business condition become to the worst condition.

To cover this condition, government must be doing some intervention to hedge our domestic economic condition. For example, increase the guarantee for saving account become to 100 percent, decreasing the oil price and also decrease on interest rate for credit facility at mass industries.

SETELAH sempat tertunda hampir satu bulan lamanya, akhirnya perhelatan blogger yang paling megah dan bergengsi sepanjang tahun ini, yaitu “Pesta Blogger 2008” (PB08) berhasil dilangsungkan dengan sangat meriah pada tanggal 22 November 2008 kemarin.

Perhelatan akbar para blogger yang kedua kalinya ini berlangsung cukup sukses. Bagaimana tidak, panitia PB08 telah berhasil mengundang tiga orang menteri kabinetnya Pak SBY sekaligus, untuk memberikan pidato pada hajatan yang menurut perkiraan dihadiri lebih dari 1.000 blogger tersebut.
