2010, Electricity’s Basic Tariff will Increase 30%
Stated-owned company of electricity (PLN) has been planning to increase their basic tariff for electricity (TDL) to the amount of 30 percent at the year of 2010.
This planning will be realize to meet the goal of the company become to no-subsidize state-owned company in the next of 2012 year.
Director of PLN, Fahmi Mochtar said that the increase of TDL is still reasonable and it more lower than the other market in Asia.
For the information, basic tariff for electricity in Indonesia is still US$ 0.07/KWH, while in Malaysia US$ 0,10/KWH, in Philipine around US$ 0,15 and in Singapore is more than US$ 0,20/KWH.
It has been reflection that Indonesian’s basic tariff for electricity is still more cheaper than the others countries in the some region.
