Good Performance For Banking Sector
Director of Banking Research at the Central Bank, Halim Alimsyah (08/11/08) said that by fundamentally our banking sector in the financial crisis currently is still shown a good performance and positive influences for our economic condition.
The growth of third party fund at our banking sector currently has shown the new equilibrilium with fund increasing more high than credit funding. But, by Year on Year (YoY) credit performance are still growth more high.
YoY’s growth of credit performance is around 34.8 percent, while the third party fund was increase only around 14 percent and in a month was reached Rp. 73.3 trillion.
This condition also caused by the increasing of interest rate, oversubscribe of government bonds, certified of central bank and the central bank facilities.
