Again, Government (still) Consider to Decrease Oil Price
Start on the 1st of December 2008, we have to buy gasoline is only Rp. 5,500 per litre. As we know that the decreasing of oil price in the world has making our goverment to consider a further lowering of the reguler gasoline price from Rp. 6,000 become to Rp. 5,500 per liter.
Now (Dec, 05/08), the world’s oil price still continue to decrease ‘till below US$ 46 per barrel as a reaction to worsening global economic condition further to lower of oil demand.
Speaking in evaluate the performance of the people’s business credit scheme at Bank Rakyat Indonesia (BRI) building, President Soesilo Bambang Yudhoyono still consider to review and re-calculation and if it is possible to again lower the price of premium or even diesel oil to reduce the industry`s burden.
As we know that our Finance Minister, Sri Mulyani has already said before that the government would be review its decision on the price of fuel oils every month to see if it was in line with the development of the world’s crude price.
